Development - After 2 years of development, sampling and sourcing, our very own Replica Sixties Windbreaker is selling beyond all expectation! This style is based on a vintage 1960's Windbreaker jacket that we stumbled upon while trawling through vintage clothing catalogues - we loved it so much, we thought we'd have a go at producing our very own version. This windbreaker has both been faithfully recreated and updated to improve it's wearability, functionality and style!
Fabric & Fit - The most crucial aspect of this Windbreaker is the water repellent Polyester/Cotton mix fabric, that feels, looks and wears like pure Cotton - no shiny contemporary material here! The second most important aspect of this style is the fit - many hours of refining the specification were spent to unsure a retro, yet flattering and practical fit! The body is slightly cropped to sit right at the line of the hips, while the elasticated cuffs rests comfortably just atop the hand - no overly long, volumous sleeves on this style!
Style & Detail - We have also opted for asymmetrical chest and hip zip-fastening pockets for maximum retro appeal and visual balance. You'll also notice the accent stitching just above the hip pocket, true to the original sample that we were able to hunt down. Also a main and particularly unique feature of this Windbreaker is the Piped stand-up Tunic collar. This all-year-round windbreaker just oozes 1960s cool. Available exclusively at Adaptor Clothing!
